Wind SW Clear. Raking & hauling pine litter to Farm Pen
Putting Manure in Garden. Maria returned from Belle Farm.

Thursday 15

Wind SW alternately cloudy & clear rained at night
Got wood. Hauled out Manure & scattered it. I went to
Dr Carys sale. We captured the “Harriet Lane” at Galveston Texas

Friday 16

Wind SW & W Rained all the mg Cloudy in Evg and turned cold
Hung up Bacon to smoke. 77 Hams, 80 Midlings and 53
shoulders. 24 Shoulders & 3 Hams still in salt. Got Wood in Evg.

Saturday 17

Wind NW Clear & very cold. Got Mr Bryan’s Carry log & hauled logs
to quarters. Got Wood. Raked woods litter I went to Ct H.

Sunday 18

Wind N Clear & Cold. We staid at home. Three of
Fayette Sinclair’s children have been here since last Thursday.
Mrs Sinclair is very unwell. Fayette has gone to Richmond.

Monday 19

Wind N & NE Clear & cold. Cutting logs & hauling them to quarters
Raking woods litter. James hauling short wood in Tumbrel

Tuesday 20

Wind NE Cloudy & cold, and looks as if it will show.
Cutting & hauling logs. Hauled wood in Tumbrel. Raking woods litter
4 Sows had Pigs very bad weather upon them.
A large Yankee Steamer “The Crusader” has been up the
River all day. She went out in Evg.
