Joshua cut wood. Jack & Peyton as I learned this m.g.
came to their Mothers last night and carried Sixteen
of her servants to Richmond to get them out of the way of
the Yankees, who are now carrying away forcibly those
who will not go voluntarily – Mr. Curtis says Nick
is dreadfully distressed & begged him to be permitted to return,
but they would not let him.
