JANUARY 8

1945    We ducked inbetween showers

all day, going to classes and

trekking around downtown (Elaine

and I are the Breakfast girls

this week)- going to student govern-

ment meeting, song practice and

KΔ meeting, with time out to read

"Moon and Sexpence" for a Modern

Painting report and to knit an

inch on a second Red Cross sweater,

which I started today.

A letter from Bill, written last

Thursday said how fond he is of

Mother and Dad, and how he loved

our informal way with each other

last week... It was so wonderful!

I also heard from home, Freddie

(safe in Belguim Dec. 16) and

Elayne.
