<html>AUGUST 23
Another day spent in pounding
the pavements! I went into see my
friend, Miss Corwin, who sent me
around to two market research
firms. I spent the whole morning
waiting around at A.C. Neilson’s
and the whole afternoon at Stewart
Brown Associates. Both jobs would
be good ones, but I have to wait
for them to call me tomorrow
morning. At least the outlook is
brightening!
I met Elaine for lunch at Stouffer’s
on Fifth Ave. She’s rather discouraged,
and has decided to accept a job
with Guaranty Trust, though it isn’t
just the sort of work she’d wanted.
After lunch we went to a Newsreel in
Radio City – I went to Stewart Brown -
and then on to the hospital.
