                        Oct. 21, 1942

We had Honors Convocation at which I

met Mother.  I had lunch with her at the [Goeck’s?]

and hen went to the Lodge where we talked together.

Beth, Danny, Cary, Kay, Lou and Colbie went

up for dinner with champagne cocktails.  We all had

a super time.

I got a letter from Bill Boyd unlike

any others.  He really expressed himself. I

can’t decide whether or not I’m glad.

                        Oct. 22, 1942

            Mother and I played around

together again.  She came to the house for

dinner and then a bunch of us went to

the movies to see “The Major and the Minor”

with Ginger Rogers and Ray Milland.  It was

awfully cute.

I got another letter from Bill Boyd.

I’m still rather confused.  He really is

swell though.

                        Oct. 23, 1942

I got C on last weeks philosophy

quiz – I’m in a rut!
