Thursday 9 Wind SW. [m.j.E.Ev.y.?] Clear & Beautiful weather
Harrowed & manured Orchard and planted Melons
Cymblins, (Pumpkins some seed Mr Sheldon gave me) &
Carrots, - Planted some Pumpkins back of Stable,
Saw no one consequently heard nothing new Today
I saw a US Steamer off New Point Today, the Blockade
is very strict.
Friday 10 Wind SW. Clear in [m.g.?] a Storm and rain in Evening
Manured & prepared Orchard in the lower part for Potatoes
Cleaned out ditches around the Orchard and yard,
Saturday 11 Wind SE, Clear. Gave the Servants holiday
I went to Gloster Point, They are getting on finely there
