[h...fulness and alacrity [ ] went about a week ago to [Centreville?], about 6 miles north of this point and yesterday they moved a little beyond Fairfax Court House – about 15 miles. I heard of Brother George being here while I was in Richmond, but, I have not seen him since he first came on. Those suffering most from our situation here are the sick – The measles have been [prevailing?], and there are cases of other kind sick= nes. I feel so sorry for them, some of them look so lonesome, & despondent – deprived of comforts and suf= fering for want of attention which they could not receive except at home.
