Monday morning

My dear Lizzie

I am home from
the office to-day sick - really
unable to go there & so I find some
excuse to write to you.  Several
times I have said "well I will
not write to Baltimore until the
girls write to men" but when I get
lonesome without you all & think
of how much I love you I go to work
scribbling again.  One post office
has been closed since Friday, mov-
ing to its new quarters - will be
re opened this evening - when we
hope to hear from you.  This is "week
after next" so I suppose Mary
will give me my promised
letter.  Pauline says she is
having a fine time - but you
are home sick.  Your father
