Riot on Market St. about 4:30 P.M. in
St. car & trains, one man killed by
strike-breaker. Much excitement
Back to camp 9 P.M. Rain in night

A quiet day, had lots of good
sleep, a walk in the afternoon.
Wind came up & began to grow
much colder. Back to camp at
8 - quite a cool ride & that night
piled on all the blankets I had
& with help of bedding roll man-
aged to keep snug & warm.
