Shucked & put away Corn. I went to the Ct House

Sunday 9

Wind NW & W Cloudy & cold till Evg Then clear.
We staid at home.

Monday 10

Wind W Clear. Began to sow Wheat in lot in front
of house. Shucked & put away Corn.
Maria carried Richard up to Mr Jeff Sutbb’s to go
to school to Mrs Alex Hogg.

Tuesday 11

Wind W in mg E in Evg Clear. Sowing Wheat
Shucking & putting away Corn
3 Yankee Deserters passed her & took breakfast

Wednesday 12

Wind SW Clear. Sowing Wheat. Shucking Corn.
I went to the Ct House. Seymour, Democrat is elected
Governor of New York by 25 Thousand majority and the
Democrats have also carried New Jersey & Illinois.
Sister Ann & Martha Page dined here

Thursday 13

Wind W in mg & Cloudy N evg & Clear. Ploughing Two
Ploughs. Opening drains. I went to Guinea &
got a Bushel of Salt of Ralp Rowe made by himself for
Six Bushels Wheat.

Friday 14

Wind SW Clear Serving Wheat Shucking Corn
Sent to Stubb’s Mill after Flour. Richard came
from school in the Wagon.
