The SCRC Wiki provides links to quick facts from the SCRC's collections. Presently, much of the information in the wiki is about or related to the College of William and Mary with a small number of pages containing administrative information used by the SCRC. More information is added on a regular basis and you are bound to find something of interest here. The first pages created in the wiki were lists of honorary degree recipients, commencement speakers, and campus buildings with new pages adding on a regular basis.

To get started, you may want to check out some of the categories used to organize information in this wiki. You will find that the largest category is currently College buildings. However, even the information on these pages is not complete as new information continues to be uncovered in the SCRC's collections and elsewhere.

Please contact the SCRC with any questions, comments, or suggestions.

Researchers are strongly encouraged to use the SCRC's access tools for their research as the information contained in this wiki is by no means comprehensive.

Special Collections Research Center

Swem Library's Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) is a learning lab for students, much like a science lab, except the raw materials we offer for your experimentation and observation are original manuscripts, photographs, rare books, sheet music, maps, and other unique or rare treasures documenting humanity's history and culture.

Contact

Contact information for the SCRC is available.

A note about the information in this wiki

Unfortunately, many of the early original records of the College of William and Mary were destroyed by fire, military occupation, and the normal effects of time. The information available here is the best available from known documents and sources at the time it was written. Information in this wiki is not complete as new information continues to be uncovered in the SCRC's collections and elsewhere. Researchers are strongly encouraged to use the SCRC's access tools for their research as the information contained in this wiki is by no means comprehensive.
