A notable figure in the field of education, Kremer Jacob Hoke worked to improve funding for schools as well as relationships between schools and communities. Hoke was a professor of Education at William and Mary from 1920 until 1944 and Dean of Summer School from 1938 until 1943. He also served as Dean of the College from 1922 until 1934 and the School of Education from 1934 until 1938.
