The Roy R. Charles Center's broad mission is to enhance the quality of undergraduate teaching and learning at the College of William and Mary. It is named after Roy R. Charles, former member of the Board of Visitors and donor to the College. Many of the Center's initiatives seek to fulfill this mission with interdisciplinary academic programs that straddle or fall outside of the department structure in the School of Arts and Sciences. In addition, the Center has a particular interest in recruiting and providing special academic, co-curricular, and scholarship resources for Monroe Scholars and other academically distinguished undergraduate and graduate students.

A Note About The Contents Of This Wiki
The information available in this wiki is the best available from known documents and sources at the time it was written. Unfortunately, many of the early original records of William & Mary were destroyed by fires, military occupation, and the normal effects of time. Information in this wiki is not complete as new information continues to be uncovered in Swem Library's Special Collections Research Center and elsewhere. Researchers are strongly encouraged to use the Special Collections search tools for their research as the information contained in this wiki is by no means comprehensive.
