I came <br />off gard this morning and did not <br />sllep anny last night so you must <br />excuse all mistakes. i was glad to here <br />that you was well as useual. <br />I am well as useual. I expect we shall <br />have marchen orders before long. [Asa?] just <br />came in to our shanty and sayes that <br />that we have marchen orders but it <br />may not be so. I suppose you have <br />hurd about [?] is going to get <br />married but I dont believe it. <br />I went went 3 dayes ago to see <br />a deserter shot it loks hard <br />there was 2 more hung that tried <br />to desert and rob and murder <br />they wer hung within 200 yard <br /><br />[Pg 2]&nbsp;<br /><br />of camp they was from <br />the 10th [Comnd?]. I had a letter <br />from [?] yesterday they are all <br />well as useual except aunt <br />[Hilty?] She was rather slim <br />[...ther?] said that he had <br />not herd from you for 2 [weeks?] <br />I expect that we shall have <br />some hard fiting this <br />summer I expect. I want <br />you to think of your brothers [?] <br />in your prairs, we dont have <br />much to eat and no whiskey <br />to drink. Dear Sister

I recieved your letter of the
12th with much pleasure. I came
off gard this morning and did not

I am well as useual. I expect we shall
