His Royal Highness Prince Charles has visited the College of William and Mary twice in 1981 and 1993. During his 1981 visit he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the university during a Special Convocation and was given a medallion similar to the President's Medallion. In 1993 he was the Charter Day speaker during the College's Tercentenary year celebration.
