Monday morning. I received your letter Saturday evening – make haste and write another before I wear this out carrying it in my pocket and direct it to Townsville N[orth] C[arolina] – instead of V[irgini]a – the girls went to Grassy creek yesterday – Pa & Mr. Baskerville went to see Roger Gregory who is very sick with measles hes better now has been very ill. – Dr. Thorp & Lucy were there. Mr. Baskerville will go off next week. [Nat?] Gregory writes that they have no tents at all that they were still there so Mr. B[askerville] will be far worse off than if he was a private in your com[pany].
