Monday morning. I received your letter Saturday evening – make haste and write another before I wear this out carrying it in my pocket and direct it to Townsville N[orth] C[arolina] – instead of V[irgini]a – the girls went to Grassy creek yesterday – Pa & Mr. Baskerville went to see Roger Gregory who is very sick with measles hes better now has been very ill. – Dr. Thorp & Lucy were there. Mr. Baskerville will go off next week. [Nat?] Gregory writes that they have no tents at all that they were still there so Mr. B[askerville] will be far worse off than if he was a private in your com[pany]. Isabella Venable has been very sick Pa Mildred & I will go this morning to see her and [?] there to Mr. [Spied?] – [Jeno?] has just come from Uncle Sam Bookers and brought us a letter from Johny to read also one form Pattie W[atkins] to [Hollie?] – one from [?] and one from Cousin Will Horton Cousin W[ill] has a little girl named [?]
