   Dear Brother James

 

I hear send you a few lines to let you know that

i am as well usel. and i hope you are the same

i have bin a going to write to you this long while but

i did not get at it. i suppose you thought hard ove

it, but i hope you will excuse me for not writeing

be fore. i have bin hear about a year and a half.

i have lately returned from a visit to newark, and

i found all our folks well. i suppose you know

that William has got married, they have had

a pair of twins last fall and they lost them.  George

has got boy a few weaks old.  i have thought that

you would have Written to some of us, but i suppose you

have bin thinking that we had outo write first

to you.  times i not verry brisk hear but i supose

it is about as good as elce ware.  i make a liveing

however and that is all i can expect i hav nothing

to say in particeler.  i hope to see you on before

long.  i wish i could make it coveanent to come

to see you i would do so.  i hope you will answer

this letter as soon as you can if you will i shall

be pleased.  write to me about your familey

and how your health is give my love to your wife

and little boy nothing more at present
